How do you measure a year?

I'm taking on the "picture a day" challenge for a whole year. Ought to be good.

and I'm done with colors!

I got these gardening gloves for free at folklife!

We helped out at the Million Meals for Haiti event. Our group had a two hour shift in which we packed 17.5 boxes which each held 36 bags- that's 630 bags and each bag feeds six people- that's 3680 people! Pretty awesome, eh?

PURPLE

So confession time- blue has been my favorite color for pretty much my entire life, except for mid elementary age when I said it was maroon, and now I think purple might be beating it out- shocking, I know.

RED

So I don't know how we're starting themes now but I decided that I'd like to do another so I chose colors. I'm going to go through the rainbow and then maybe add some like pink...you should all do it too!

"When you see a guy reach for stars in the sky
You can bet that he's doing it for some doll."
Shorecrest's production of "Guys and Dolls" was absolutely phenomenal. End of story.

Once upon a time I won a trombone pin at WMI. It was very exciting.

Colonel Diane said she saw this tea towel thing in Great Falls and thought of me- those are always some of the best gifts :)

I went to the Ballard Parade to see Alexandra- too much Norwegian stuff for my liking but fun nonetheless.

Today I went to the University of Washington Street Fair. It was quite a good time.
I still quite know what was going on with this guy...there was something about saving the unicorns but it's probably better not to ask too many questions!
I had cookies n cream fudge, a gyro, a strawberry orange slushie, and some donuts but I still regret not trying one of these!
This was a super cool ragtime-ish band. I wish I could be there friends.

I went and saw Melani's "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" show in Bellevue and this was the view coming back over on the 520 bridge <3

So I was driving home from Young Adult Bible Study and loving the way it was still light outside at 8:20 when I saw it- the most amazing sunset EVER. My hill has just this perfect spot where you can look left to the Cascade Mountains and right to the Olympics and it was gorgeous. So obviously I grabbed my camera and prepared for what would be the most epicly beautiful picture of all time when it happened- lens error. Basically my camera is out of commission for the time being and I am borrowing Alexandra's- thanks pal. And this is a redo of a cover for the last book I read...

So today I went to Jennifer Hood's shower and ended up being the unofficial photographer which meant I got to play with Christina's fancy beast of a camera but sadly I don't have any of those pictures. But here's a picture of one of the adorable little goody bag purses we got that I took with my own little baby digital camera.
