How do you measure a year?

I'm taking on the "picture a day" challenge for a whole year. Ought to be good.

You know that feeling you had all day that you were missing out on something awesome? This was it.

(It's a joke. It was fine but nothing to keep you up at night stressed because you missed out. Just clarifying.)

29/365

I really don't have anything to say about this except "yum".

These are one of my most favorite pairs of earrings ever. They cost me a whole $6 Hong Kong aka 85 cents US. You've got to love it.

27/365

I like beaches. I like finding cool stuff. I love finding cool stuff on the beach. These are some things off a beach on Cheung Chau Island in Hong Kong.

So if you were like me you took a lot of trips to IKEA growing up and what (besides the candy) made the journey bearable? THE BALL PIT. And Ella has mini one of her own! I'm jealous.

In eighth grade I took an art class- I'm not really that good but I still liked it. The best part was this self portrait project. (And I'm going to tell you all about it whether you care or not.) We took a picture of ourselves, converted it to kind of block look thing, made it into a transparency, traced it onto a full size paper and marked what shade number everything was, picked a color and made it into a number of different shades, and painted it. That was five years ago now but it's still in my room. Can you see the resemblance?

Sunday was a family party for my mom and what you're looking at is Princess Tårta aka the best cake ever with some other delicious fika items in the background.

This is my two year old cousin Jonas- ain't he the cutest little thing?

23/365

So Alexandra already showed you we got running shoes so here's a skirt I got too. But guys- I'm SO ready for summer that it's not even funny.

22/365

Anyone else notice the mountains Friday? EPIC

My family has Mexican food a few select times a year: Mother's Day, my mom's birthday, when my dad's out of town, and a few random times inbetween. Friday was my mom's birthday.

"She was a lovely lady, with a romantic mind and such a sweet mocking mouth. Her romantic mind was like the tiny boxes, one within the other, that come from the puzzling East, however many you discover there is always one more; and her sweet mocking mouth had one kiss on it that Wendy could never get, though there it was, perfectly conspicuous in the right-hand corner."

Being at camp this weekend made me really excited for summer because no matter how much I love it, there's something slightly off about camp in January.

16/365

On Saturday we ice skated and played Wally Ball among other things. Wally ball is volleyball except its out if it bounces once before you hit it or it hits the ceiling. I wasn't very good )but I didn't try to hard either...)

15/365

On Friday the Seattle Temple Youth Praise Team (minus the minors- missed you Isaac and Alexandra) went to play for the Young Adult Retreat at Camp Arnold. We came to camp right at sunset and it was the absolutely beautiful for lack of better words. No editing was done to these pictures just to better prove my point.
